Shares in bpost BPOST.BR plummet 22% as the Belgian postal operator scraps dividend and "significantly" disappoints with 2025 guidance
Bpost expects 2025 adj. EBIT to come between 150-180 mln euros ($156-187 mln)
Degroof Petercam, KBC Securities both say the outlook significantly misses theirs and consensus estimates
"FY25 guidance is a shocker," Degroof says
It flags that despite "expensive" acquisition of Staci kicking in, adj. EBIT will decline further on lower margins in Bene Last Mile unit, loss of the press concession and impact of wage inflation, strikes, and a delay in restructuring
Degroof also points to Radial US losing clients and Landmark "feeling the pain of insourcing by Amazon AMZN.O"
"The adverse impact of all of this has clearly been underestimated by ourselves and consensus," the brokerage says
The stock is heading for its worst day in over 4 years and touches its lowest price ever
