ANKARA, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 36.4630 against the U.S. dollar at 0406 GMT, after closing at 36.4350 on Tuesday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.29% lower at 9,451.58 points on Tuesday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
U.S. Treasury yields regained some lost ground on Wednesday after the House of Representatives advanced President Donald Trump's tax-cut agenda, while the dollar and oil prices struggled on mounting worries over the U.S. growth outlook.
ERDOGAN
President Tayyip Erdogan will chair a meeting of his AK Party's provincial heads in Ankara (1200 GMT).
FINANCE MINISTER
Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek is in South Africa to attend a gathering of finance ministers and central bankers from the G20 top economies.
FOREIGN MINISTER
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili in Ankara.
TRADE MINISTER
Trade Minister Omer Bolat will attend Turkey-Finland joint economy and trade commission meeting in Helsinki.
INDUSTRY MINISTER
Industry Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir will attend an event on digital innovation in northwestern province of Kocaeli (0700 GMT).
TRANSPORT MINISTER
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend a global cargo event in Tehran.
PARLIAMENT
Parliament's Environment Commission will discuss a bill on climate (0800 GMT). Opposition New Path Party and IYI Party will hold their weekly parliamentary meetings (0630 GMT).
TURKMENISTAN GAS
Turkey is negotiating an agreement with Turkmenistan to extend a natural gas supply deal for five years, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told the Hurriyet daily on Tuesday, noting that the deal is expected to be finalised within the year.
