- Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 36.3200-36.3245 against the U.S. dollar at 0450 GMT, after closing at 36.2975 on Wednesday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.55% lower at 9,763 points on Wednesday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian shares fell sharply on Thursday, tracking choppy trading on Wall Street overnight and a dip in European stocks as U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff plans and a cautious stance from Federal Reserve policymakers hurt risk sentiment.

FOREIGN MINISTER

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend a G20 foreign ministers meeting in Johannesburg.

TRANSPORT MINISTER

Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu will attend an event of a university in Ankara (0700 GMT).

OPPOSITION

Main opposition CHP leader Ozgur Ozel will visit jailed mayors, a journalist and the leader of another small opposition party who were detained in the latest investigations against opposition figures in Istanbul (1200 GMT).

CONSUMER CONFIDENCE TRCONC=ECI

The Turkish Statistics Institute will announce February consumer confidence index data (0700 GMT).

DEBT STOCK

Turkish treasury will announce debt stock for January (1430 GMT).

CENTRAL BANK DATA

The Central Bank will release its weekly data, including on forex reserves (1130 GMT).

BUSINESS GROUP PROBE

An Istanbul court banned on Thursday international travel by two key executives of Turkey's top business association in an investigation of their remarks on democracy that President Tayyip Erdogan characterised as undermining the government.

EGG EXPORT

Turkey has begun exporting around 15,000 tonnes of eggs to the United States as a devastating outbreak of bird flu is slashing U.S. production and sending prices soaring, a leading sector official said on Wednesday.

IRAQ PIPELINE

Turkey has yet to receive confirmation from Iraq on the resumption of oil flows through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told Reuters on Wednesday.
