- Billionaire investor Cliff Asness's AQR Capital Management finished January up a net 2.5% in its multi-strategy Apex Strategy fund and a net 3.5% higher in its net in Delphi Long-Short Equity Strategy fund, said a source on Monday.

Firmwide, the hedge fund managed roughly $114 billion of assets as of the end of 2024, said the source with knowledge of the matter.

Hedge funds returned about 2.5% to January 30, globally with relatively strong returns across regions and strategies, according to a note last week by JPMorgan JPM.N sent to clients on February 1 to clients.

World markets kicked off a bumpy ride to the year with rising bond yields and investors braced for a potential trade war under U.S. President Donald Trump.
