The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was up 0.83% at 76,532.96, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 .NSEI advanced 0.9% to 23,163.10, led by information technology shares, with investors awaiting the U.S. Federal Reserve's comments on interest rates later in the day. .BO

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee INR=IN closed at 86.54 against the U.S. dollar, barely changed from its close at 86.5225 in the previous session as traders awaited cues from the Federal Reserve's policy decision due in U.S. market hours. INR/

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond IN071034G=CC was quoted at 100.72 rupees, with the yield little changed at 6.686% as market participants awaited cues from the start of the central bank's liquidity infusion as well as the federal budget announcement. IN/

OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:

The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was little changed at 6.36%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC was flat at 6.1025%.

CALL MONEY:

India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 6.60% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.27%
