
ISTANBUL, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 35.7570 against the U.S. dollar at 0407 GMT, after closing at 35.7450 on Monday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.06% lower at 9,997.85 points on Monday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
U.S. stock futures steadied, the dollar ticked higher and tech stocks in Asia slid on Tuesday following a wave of selling as apparent advances by a Chinese AI startup cast doubt on U.S. dominance and spending in one of the market's hottest sectors.
ERDOGAN PROGRAMME
President Tayyip Erdogan will host Bosnia's Speaker of the House of Representatives Denis Zvizdić in Ankara (1130 GMT). Ahead of the meeting with Erdogan, Zvizdic will meet with Turkish Parliament's Speaker Numan Kurtulmus and hold a news conference (0945 GMT).
GROUP MEETINGS
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) will hold its weekly parliamentary meeting (1030 GMT). Nationalist MHP and pro-Kurdish DEM Party will also hold meetings in the parliament.
TURKEY-SAUDI
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will hold meetings in Saudi Arabia.
ENERGY
Turkish Energy Ministry will hold renewable energy tenders.
