CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as China's low-cost AI model spooks tech investors

- Canada's main stock index opened lower on Monday, hurt by information technology shares, as investor confidence in artificial intelligence-linked stocks was shaken by the rising popularity of a Chinese discount AI model.

At 9:32 a.m. ET (1432 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 0.97% at 25222.45.
