BUZZ-AspenTech rises after Emerson to buy remaining stake for $265 per share

** Shares of industrial software co Aspen Technology AZPN.O up 2.7% at $262 premarket

** Emerson Electric EMR.N says it will acquire all outstanding shares of AZPN it does not already own for $265/share, valuing the stake at $7.2 billion

** Emerson, which currently owns about 57% stake in AZPN, will buy the remaining stake in an all-cash tender offer, valuing AZPN at $16.8 billion

** Aspen to become a private company, and operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMR

** Shares of EMR down 0.5% at $129.93

** In 2024, AZPN stock had risen 13.4%; EMR had risen 27.3%
