ANKARA, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 35.7000 against the U.S. dollar at 0350 GMT, after closing at 35.6625 on Thursday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 0.07% higher at 10,112.76 points on Thursday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Global shares rose on Friday buoyed by the prospect of lower U.S. interest rates following comments from President Donald Trump, while the yen steadied ahead of a widely expected rate hike from the Bank of Japan later in the day.
ERDOGAN
President Tayyip Erdogan will attend an inauguration ceremony, (1100 GMT) and his AK Party's provincial congress in eastern province of Malatya (1200 GMT).
EU'S KALLAS
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas will meet with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus (0700 GMT) and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara.
VICE PRESIDENT
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend a briefing on a agricultural project in central province of Konya (1100 GMT), and then a meeting on economy coordination board (1500 GMT).
OPPOSITION
Main opposition CHP leader Ozgur Ozel will visit far-right Victory Party headquarters in Ankara, after the party's leader was arrested for inciting hatred among public (0830 GMT).
TREASURY
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance will directly sell gold bonds and gold-backed lease certificates.
CENBANK RATE DECISION
Turkey's central bank cut its key interest rate by 250 basis points to 45% as expected on Thursday, carrying on an easing cycle it launched last month alongside a decline in annual inflation that is seen continuing through the year end.
