Jan 23 (Reuters) - U.S. main stock indexes opened flat to slightly lower on Thursday, as investors paused after Wall Street's strong performance in the previous session and focused on corporate earnings, economic data and President Donald Trump's remarks - all lined up through the day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 43.2 points, or 0.10%, at the open to 44,113.55. The S&P 500 .SPX fell 10.1 points, or 0.17%, at the open to 6,076.32, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 102.4 points, or 0.51%, to 19,906.988 at the opening bell.
