ANKARA, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 35.5905 against the U.S. dollar at 0414 GMT, after closing at 35.5705 on Friday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.13% higher at 9,977.94 points on Friday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
The dollar was firm and Asia's stock markets were cautiously positive on Monday as investors waited for an expected flurry of policy announcements in the first hours of Donald Trump's second presidency and eyed a rate hike in Japan at the end of the week.
ERDOGAN PROGRAMME
President Tayyip Erdogan will host Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico in Ankara and the two will host an accord signing ceremony and joint press conference following bilateral meetings(1500 GMT).
TURKEY-SLOVAKIA TRADE
Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat will attend a roundtable event with Turkey-Slovakia businesspeople (0915 GMT).
BOND AUCTION
Turkish treasury will issue new six-month bond in auction.
DEBT STOCK
Turkish treasury will announce debt stock for December (1430 GMT)
GETIR
Turkish grocery delivery company Getir and its biggest shareholder, Abu Dhabi state investment fund Mubadala, remained at odds on Sunday over a restructuring plan which Mubadala says is vital to ensure Getir's future.
SYRIA
Negotiators are zeroing in on a potential deal to resolve one of the most explosive questions looming over Syria's future: the fate of Kurdish forces that the U.S. considers key allies against Islamic State but neighbouring Turkey regards as a national security threat.
