Shares of live TV streaming platform FuboTV FUBO.N fall 6.5% to $5.00 premarket

U.S. satellite TV provider DirecTV challenged a dismissal of FUBO's lawsuit against Venu Sports, a sports streaming venture planned by Walt Disney DIS.N, Fox Corp FOXA.O and Warner Bros Discovery WBD.O

DirecTV says the settlement does not resolve antitrust issues around the sports streaming joint venture

FUBO had sued the three media giants behind Venu in February, claiming the venture would reduce competition and increase prices for consumers

Earlier this week, FuboTV asked the U.S. District Court in Manhattan to dismiss its lawsuit against Venu after DIS said it would merge its Hulu + Live TV business with the smaller rival

FUBO shares had fallen ~60% in 2024
