Investing.com – U.K. equities started lower on Tuesday. The top losers were Household Goods, Personal Goods and Industrial Metals & Mining sectors.
At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index fell 1.04%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also declined. The FTSE 250 dropped 0.71%, while the FTSE 350 was down by 0.95%.
Top Gainers:
- Imperial Brands (LON:IMB): Rose 4.24% or 91.00 points to 2,238.00.
- Ashtead Group (LON:AHT): Increased 1.13% or 64.0 points to 5,712.0.
- Reckitt Benckiser (LON:RKT): Climbed 0.70% or 32.0 points to 4,585.0.
Top Losers:
- Vistry Group (LON:VTYV): Fell 34.52% or 439.50 points to 833.50.
- Antofagasta (LON:ANTO): Dropped 5.48% or 109.00 points to 1,881.50.
- Prudential (LON:PRU): Declined 5.70% or 41.00 points to 678.40.
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for December delivery dropped 11.30 points to 2,654.70 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for November delivery fell 1.45 points to 75.69 a barrel.
- December Brent Oil Contract dropped 1.78% or 1.44 points to 79.49 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD has dropped to 1.30 this morning.
- EUR/GBP is at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.200.
