Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.17%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry&Paper, Pharmaceutical Industry and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.17%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were S2M (CSE:S2M), which rose 4.32% or 10.00 points to trade at 241.25 at the close. Rebab Company (CSE:REB) added 4.18% or 2.80 points to end at 69.80 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) was up 2.80% or 0.83 points to 30.46 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which lost 9.99% or 60.90 points to trade at 548.50 in late trade. Maghrebail (CSE:MAB) declined 5.97% or 57.30 points to end at 902.50 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA) shed 5.50% or 0.99 points to 17.01.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 25 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.11% or 2.33 to $77.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.51% or 1.96 to hit $80.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 2.80 to trade at $2,549.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.29% to 10.76, while USD/MAD rose 0.82% to 9.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.68.
