FTSE 100 starts the week in green; U.K. shares up at market open
Investing.com – U.K. equities started with gains on Monday, with rises in majority of sectors, the most notable ones being the Life Insurance, Aerospace & Defense, Mobile Telecommunications and Oil & Gas sectors.
At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index rose 0.54%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also climbed. The FTSE 250 climbed 0.08%, while the FTSE 350 increased by 0.55%.

- Prudential (LON:PRU): Increased 2.29% or 15.66 points to 700.66
- JD Sports Fashion PLC (LON:JD): Rose 1.55% or 1.91 points to 125.11
- BP (LON:BP): Climbed 1.71% or 7.75 points to 462.25
Top Losers:
- Reckitt Benckiser (LON:RKT): Dropped 9.23% or 414.0 points to 4,073.0
- Pearson (LON:PSON): Declined 4.76% or 50.00 points to 1,001.00
- Entain (LON:ENT): Fell 0.92% or 6.00 points to 643.00

- Gold Futures for December delivery climbed 7.00 points to 2,434.90 a troy ounce.

- GBP/USD is cruising at 1.28.
