US condemns attack on Kuwaiti consulate in Basrah
WASHINGTON, April 9 (Reuters) - The United States condemned an April 7 attack on the Kuwaiti consulate in Basrah on Thursday, the State Department said in a post on X.
The U.S. is calling on the Iraqi government to "hold accountable and dismantle the Iraqi terrorist groups aligned with Iran that conducted this attack," the department's bureau for Near Eastern Affairs said.
