Embraer's Eve completes 50 'flying car' test flights

SAO PAULO, April 9 (Reuters) -
Eve Air Mobility EVEX.N, the electric aircraft unit of Embraer EMBJ3.SA said on Thursday it has completed 50 test flights with its "flying car" prototype since its inaugural flight in December, totaling more than two hours of flight.

KEY CONTEXT

• The company plans to start producing compliance prototypes this year, with six units for its certification campaign with Brazilian aviation regulator ANAC.

• "Achieving 50 test flights with our engineering prototype goes beyond a technical milestone. It is clear evidence of the maturity of our program," CEO Johann Bordais said.

• Eve is expanding flight envelope evaluations, gradually increasing cruise speed and analyzing energy management, controllability, stability, noise and vibration.
