BEIJING, March 31 (Reuters) - China sees a visit by a delegation of European Union lawmakers this week as a chance to enhance the bloc's understanding and knowledge of China, that would contribute to developing healthy and stable ties between both sides.
Exchanges between legislative bodies are an important component of China-EU relations, foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said to reporters at a regular news briefing when asked about the visit by European parliamentarians that are overseeing market and consumer protection.
"We believe that this visit will facilitate exchanges and cooperation between the legislative bodies," she said.
