Poland evacuates its troops from Iraq, minister says

WARSAW, March 20 (Reuters) - Poland has evacuated its troops from Iraq, the defence minister said on Friday, amid an ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

"Due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East region, following an analysis of operational conditions and potential threats, a decision was made to relocate the Polish Military Contingent from Iraq," Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on X.
