SAO PAULO, March 19 (Reuters) - An affiliate of Philip Morris International PM.N has sold its stake in Swedish Match do Brasil to Ignis FIP, the tobacco company said in a statement on Thursday.
Financial details of the deal, which also includes Swedish Match da Amazonia, were not disclosed.
CONTEXT
Swedish Match do Brasil controls the Brazilian Fiat Lux brand.
Ignis FIP is a Brazilian private investment vehicle sponsored by Marcos Fernando Garms, who leads a group with operations in the sugar and ethanol, agribusiness and automotive distribution sectors, according to the statement.
Swedish Match do Brasil and Swedish Match da Amazonia will remain part of Philip Morris and continue to operate normally until the transaction is completed, it added.
