March 19 (Reuters) - Liberty Global LBTYA.O has cut its stake in ITV ITV.L to 2.5% as of March 17, down from nearly 5%, a regulatory filing showed on Thursday, slipping out of the British TV company's top-10 shareholder list.
Here are some key details:
Shares in the company were down 2% after the disclosure.
Liberty Global was ITV's largest shareholder before it halved its holding from 10% to 5% in October.
At 5%, it was ITV's sixth-largest shareholder, according to LSEG data.
The U.S.-based media group first acquired a significant stake in ITV in 2014.
Earlier this month, ITV said it was still "actively engaged" in talks to sell its media and entertainment unit to Sky.
