China slams US trade probe, reserves right for countermeasures

BEIJING, March 13 (Reuters) - The United States has no right to "unilaterally" determine whether a trading partner has "overcapacity" through its Section 301 investigation and take unilateral restrictive measures, China's commerce ministry said on Friday.

China is conducting analysis and assessment over the probe and reserves the right to take all necessary measures and defend its legitimate rights and interests, the ministry said in a statement.
