Iran not going to close Strait of Hormuz, Iran UN envoy says

March 12 (Reuters) - Iran's U.N. Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani on Thursday said Tehran was not going to close the Strait of Hormuz, but added it was Iran's inherent right to preserve the peace and security of the waterway.

He made his comments in remarks to reporters at the United Nations.
