Lebanon asks US to broker Israel peace talks to end fighting, Axios reports

March 9 (Reuters) - Lebanon has asked the United States to broker direct peace talks with Israel to end the fighting and come to a peace agreement, Axios reported on Monday, citing five sources with knowledge of the matter.
Responses from the U.S. and Israel were deeply skeptical, the report added.
