SEOUL, March 4 (Reuters) - South Korea's ruling Democratic Party will hold a vote to pass a special bill to make investments in the United States under a trade deal between the countries on March 12, the party's floor leader said on Wednesday.
Lawmaker Han Byung-do said his party would work to produce a bipartisan agreement at a special committee by March 9, the panel's deadline, and move for a vote on March 12.
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened in January to hike tariffs on imports from South Korea, blaming a delay in enacting a trade deal in which the Asian ally promised to invest $350 billion in the United States.
