WASHINGTON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - The United States offered Iran many ways to have a civil nuclear program but that was met with "games and tricks", a senior Trump administration official said on Saturday.
The official, who declined to be identified, added that Tehran's lack of seriousness in the nuclear talks left President Donald Trump with no choice but to attack.
"It was very clear that the intent for them was to preserve their ability to do enrichment so that over time, they could use it for nuclear bomb," a senior Trump administration official told reporters.
