
LONDON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Airlines have cancelled almost 40% of flights to Israel and 6.7% of flights to the broader region on Saturday, after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, according to preliminary Cirium data.
Out of the 107 flights to Israel scheduled, 40 have been cancelled, data from the UK-based analytics firm showed, whilst 232 flights out of the 3,422 flights scheduled for the region were cancelled.
The region covers Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iran, Oman, Israel, Jordan and Bahrain.
