LONDON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Virgin Atlantic said on Saturday it had decided to temporarily avoid Iraqi airspace, resulting in some pre-planned rerouting of its flights, following strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran.
The airline added that, as a precautionary measure, it had also cancelled its VS400 service from London Heathrow to Dubai today.
"The safety and security of our customers and people always comes first and we continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East with ongoing dynamic assessments and active changes to our flight routings based on the latest information and guidance, if required," a spokesperson said in a statement.
