EU aims to adopt 20th sanctions package against Russia on Monday, Kallas says

KRAKOW, Poland, Feb 20 (Reuters) - The European Union aims to adopt a 20th sanctions package against Russia on Monday, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Friday, speaking after EU diplomats had said earlier EU envoys had failed to agree on this new package.
"Next Monday we aim to adopt the 20th sanctions package against Russia. Sanctions are working, they are severely hurting Russia's economy and each new measure further limits its ability to wage the war," Kallas said during a press conference alongside the European Group of Five Defence Ministers.
EU foreign affairs ministers are scheduled to meet in Brussels on Monday to discuss the sanctions amongst other topics.
