WASHINGTON, Feb 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department said on Tuesday it was publicly designating Palau Senate President Hokkons Baule and Anderson Jibas, a former mayor from Marshall Islands, accusing the two of corruption.
The designations will bar their entry and that of their immediate family members into the U.S., State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said in a statement. He added that Baules accepted bribes in exchange for "providing advocacy and support for government, business, and criminal interests from China."
