HONG KONG, Feb 9 (Reuters) - The head of Hong Kong police's National Security Department said on Monday that media tycoon Jimmy Lai's 20-year sentence on three national security charges was "appropriate" and that claims of his frail health are "exaggerated".
Steve Li, chief superintendent of the police force's National Security Department, was speaking after Lai was sentenced to two decades in jail on two charges of conspiracy to collude with foreign forces and one of publishing seditious materials.
