LONDON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Britain's former U.S. ambassador Peter Mandelson intends to retire from the upper house of parliament, the chamber's speaker said on Tuesday.
The announcement follows new revelations about Mandelson's links to Jeffrey Epstein.
House of Lords speaker Michael Forsyth said Mandelson plans to retire on Wednesday. Forsyth told parliament he was making the announcement "given the public interest" on the matter.
