WASHINGTON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday said the United States now has in place a process on Greenland and that there will be technical level meetings with officials from Greenland and Denmark on the issue.
Speaking at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Rubio said he thought this process was going to bring everyone "a good outcome". The U.S. demand for control of Greenland has shaken transatlantic relations and accelerated European efforts to reduce dependence on the United States, even as Trump last week withdrew tariff threats and ruled out taking Greenland by force.
