UK's Reeves favours de-escalation on US tariffs, won't rule out options

Jan 21 (Reuters) - British finance minister Rachel Reeves, asked if London would ever retaliate against U.S. President Donald Trump's latest decision to raise tariffs on Britain, said on Wednesday that nothing could be ruled out but de-escalation was the goal.
"We would never rule anything out. But the advantage for Britain comes from reducing barriers to trade, because that helps British businesses," Reeves told BBC News on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
