Highly likely top US, Chinese officials meet before Trump-Xi meeting, USTR Greer tells Fox News

- U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said on Tuesday that it was highly likely that he and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent meet with their Chinese counterparts before President Donald Trump's planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in April.

"At the staff level, the Americans and the Chinese officials are speaking with some regularity," Greer told Fox News' Ingraham Angle.

"You want to make sure you meet beforehand to figure out where the sticking points might be, what opportunities there are, and make sure that American interests are taken care of and that no one's caught by surprise in these meetings. So I think it's probably a high likelihood that we meet with our counterparts before the President's meet in April," Greer said.
