Jan 12 (Reuters) - Ukraine's Kyivstar KYIV.O has launched a 5G test zone in the city of Lviv, it said on Monday, marking the company's first local 5G pilot in the country as it seeks to advance infrastructure development amid the war with Russia.
The telecom operator plans to soon expand its testing to Kharkiv and Borodianka, with additional pilots in Kyiv and Odesa scheduled for 2026. A nationwide rollout remains contingent on the end of the war, Kyivstar said in the statement.
