Germany concerned over Chinese military drills near Taiwan

BERLIN, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Germany is concerned about military exercises by China near Taiwan, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday, stressing that the stability of the Taiwan Strait is crucial for international security and prosperity.
"Any change to (Taiwan's) status quo must be peaceful and mutually agreed," the ministry said.
