Macron voices support for Breton after U.S. visa ban

PARIS, Dec 24 (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday voiced support for former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, on whom the United States imposed a visa ban, adding that he thanked him for his work in a conversation between both.
"We will not give up, and we will protect Europe's independence and the freedom of Europeans," Macron said in a post on X.
