GENEVA, Dec 11 (Reuters) - The World Health Organization chief said on Thursday that he was still hoping the U.S. administration would reconsider its decision to withdraw from the organisation, saying that the withdrawal would be a loss for both parties and for the world.
"I hope they will reconsider to stay – that's the best option," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in response to a reporter's question about the relationship.
"Their absence from WHO is going to be a lose-lose. The rest of the world will also lose."
