WASHINGTON, Nov 13 (Reuters) - U.S. trade talks with Switzerland in Washington on Thursday were "very positive" and could lead to a reduction in the 39% U.S. tariffs on Swiss imports if the terms of a deal are accepted by U.S. President Donald Trump, a senior U.S. official said.
Swiss officials presented a plan to reduce and eliminate the trade deficit with the U.S., the official said, adding U.S. officials expected to see a meaningful reduction in Swiss tariffs on U.S. products, as well as non-tariff barriers.
