BEIJING, Oct 23 (Reuters) - China's vice commerce minister Sheng Qiuping met senior Walmart WMT.N executive Dan Bartlett on October 16, the commerce ministry said in a statement on Thursday, and encouraged the U.S. retail giant to expand its procurement in China.
At the height of the U.S.-China trade war in April, Walmart reportedly continued to push Chinese suppliers to cut prices to offset U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.
