UN chief welcomes Gaza deal, says "our teams are on standby"

Oct 9 (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the agreement to secure a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza on Thursday and said the United Nations is ready to help.
"The United Nations stands ready to provide its full support. We and our partners are prepared to move – now," Guterres said at the United Nations. He pressed for full and sustained access for humanitarian workers in Gaza.
