MEXICO CITY, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Monday that she hoped the U.S. would give her country "consideration" under its new tariffs on heavy vehicles.
U.S. President Donald Trump last week announced 25% tariffs on imported heavy trucks starting Oct. 1.
Mexico has largely been shielded from the impacts of U.S. tariff policy so far due to the U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade pact.
