US Senator Cassidy calls for delay of vaccine meeting following CDC departures
Aug 28 (Reuters) - The head of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on Thursday called for the delay of a meeting of vaccine advisers scheduled for September 18 after a number of top-level officials at the Centers for Disease Control departed the agency.
"Serious allegations have been made about the meeting agenda, membership, and lack of scientific process being followed for the now announced September ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) meeting," Republican Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana said in a statement.
