China's Xi meets Russian parliament speaker in Beijing - Xinhua

BEIJING, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of Russia's lower house of parliament the State Duma, in Beijing on Tuesday, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Volodin, who arrived in China on Monday, had said he would discuss countering sanctions pressure and external interference during his talks in Beijing this week. Sanctions pressure includes U.S. efforts to get China to stop importing Russian oil.
