Brown & Riding appoints Southwest Risk's Root as property VP

Aug 20 - (The Insurer) - Wholesale insurance brokerage Brown & Riding has appointed Lauren Root as vice president for its national property practice unit.
She will be based in the Houston office.
Root, who was previously at Southwest Risk for more than six years, specialises in property and inland marine coverage with expertise in catastrophe-exposed risks.
The broker appointed Pete Sayer as senior vice president for its national property practice unit in July.
