Aug 20 - (The Insurer) - U.S.-based cyber insurance and security firm Coalition has launched its active cyber insurance product in France, expanding its European footprint after a rollout in the Nordic region earlier this year.
French companies with revenue of up to 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) will now have access to primary cyber insurance coverage and risk management services, Coalition said on Wednesday.
Capacity is being provided through a multiyear agreement with Allianz Commercial, via Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
Coalition also announced senior hires to support its French business. Benjamin Barès, formerly director of direct sales and partnerships at Hiscox Assurances France, has been appointed head of business development, the company said.
He will be joined by Frédéric Gatte as director of underwriting and Tom Paparella, a production underwriter transferring from Coalition’s U.S. team.
