CNA announces senior leadership appointments

Aug 20 - (The Insurer) - CNA Financial has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across key business segments.
David Haas has been appointed president of global specialty, overseeing financial lines, healthcare, affinity and warranty.
Haas has worked at CNA for more than eight years, most recently as global casualty leader.
Michael Nardiello has been promoted to president of global property and casualty. In addition to casualty, he will continue to lead property and marine globally.
Nardiello has been with CNA for more than seven years, before which he was senior vice president at Sompo International. He has also worked at AIG and Marsh.
Song Kim has been promoted to president of global commercial industry segments. He will now be responsible for construction, alongside middle market and small business. With this addition, Kim now leads all global commercial industries.
Kim joined CNA in 2016 as branch vice president. He has also worked at Zurich and Travelers.
On August 4, CNA reported core income of $1.23 a share for the second quarter, beating Wall Street forecasts, with its P&C combined ratio improving to 94.1%, driven by lower catastrophe losses. The company appointed Eric Allen as U.S. cyber and E&O national technical leader in July.
