Aug 18 - (The Insurer) - Specialist agriculture and livestock MGU Rokstone Agriculture has secured $1 million in admitted capacity from Professional Solutions Insurance Company (PSIC) to launch a new equine mortality product line in the U.S.
The product will be available across 19 states and marks Rokstone's entry into the U.S. equine mortality space.
Led by equine underwriting manager Alexandra Choumitsky, the new product offers standard mortality coverage along with optional major medical coverage, providing reimbursements between $7,500 and $15,000. It also includes unique reimbursement limits of up to $17,500 for higher-valued sport horses.
The product will be available via Rokstone Agriculture’s digital quote and bind platform, and claims will be managed by Aventum’s in-house TPA Verus Claims Management.
Rokstone Agriculture, part of the international speciality (re)insurance MGA Rokstone, has been providing livestock coverage since 2021. Rockstone currently underwrites $1.1 billion in gross written premiums across several specialty lines, including property, power generation, marine, aviation, cedant led fac, agriculture, construction and engineering, A&H, professional indemnity and D&O.
