Brown & Brown appoints former Hanesbrands exec Joia Johnson to board

Aug 18 - (The Insurer) - Insurance broker Brown & Brown on Monday said it has appointed Joia Johnson, the former chief legal officer and chief administrative officer of Hanesbrands, to its board of directors.

Johnson, who retired from Hanes in 2021 after nearly 15 years in senior leadership roles, also served as general counsel and corporate secretary of the innerwear and activewear maker.

Before Hanes, she was executive vice president and general counsel at Rare Hospitality International, a restaurant franchise operator.

She currently sits on the boards of Global Payments, Sylvamo Corp and Regions Financial Corp and previously served as a director at insurance claims manager Crawford & Company.
